Set for embroidery “Lelia”

Lelya is a Slavic mythological image, the goddess of young couples in love, who is the source of love for loving hearts. She is a protector and guardian.

With special trepidation and hope, we have created a set of 10 powerful symbols for baby amulets. You can embroider them on the bodysuit we created for the newborn, as well as on a baby blanket or other items.

The meaning of ornaments

The expression “born with a shirt on” has long been known in Ukraine, as it refers to lucky people who are blessed with success and seem to have invisible protection from all kinds of troubles and adversity. Embroidered shirts were made and worn by babies from the first days of life.

Such clothes were considered festive and were an indicator of family happiness. These shirts not only served as clothing for children, but also had religious and symbolic significance. They were often embroidered with various ornaments and motifs that symbolized protection, health, and prosperity for the child. Therefore, we have collected 10 symbols that are sacred amulets for the baby and suggested that the future mother or grandmother create a special family item – the first bodysuit for the baby.
